Kristine McGinley grew up in the wondrous Pacific Northwest. She is a proud C. S. Lewis Academy HS alum in Newberg, Oregon. For her undergraduate degree she attended Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI. While at Marquette she was taught the Jesuit concept of Cura Personalis which means “care for the entire person”. This concept teaches that our talents, abilities, attributes, personalities, desires, hearts, faith, and health are all equally worthy of care and attention. To cultivate respect for all that makes up an individual.

She was first introduced to Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine in 2010 while living in Seattle. After her first course of treatment she was amazed by the positive changes occurring in her body and knew that she needed to learn more about this ancient healing therapy. Two years later she enrolled in the Masters program at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine (OCOM). Consistently ranked the #1 Acupuncture school in the U.S. While studying there she learned from many talented and experienced practitioners. Most notably she trained in Qigong with Master Liu He and is certified to teach 1000 Hands Buddha Qigong.

While at OCOM her understanding of the mind-body deepened and she developed a commitment to honoring health on every level – Physical, Mental, Emotional, and Spiritual.

After she received her Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAOM) she traveled to Nanjing, Jiangsu, China and completed a short course of study at Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Her time there was spent training with accomplished Chinese doctors and herbalists. Again her understanding of health and treatment of disease was expanded and reinforced.

In 2017 she spent 7 months onboard a Princess Cruises vessel (Sun Princess) sailing around Australia and the South Pacific offering acupuncture to passengers and crew. She is currently located in Vancouver, WA where she plans to grow her practice and continue the process of learning about disease recovery, prevention, and optimum wellness.  You can read more about Kristine at  www.kristineacupuncture.com
