Art has been in healthcare for his entire adult life. He has an extensive background in critical care, in emergency room, intensive care, and operating room. He graduated from nursing school from Lower Columbia College in Longview, WA and started working in podiatry at the Vancouver Clinic. He was trained and ran their diabetic footcare program for six years.

Prior to working in footcare, Art saw firsthand when diabetes and peripheral vascular disease are poorly managed watching his grandfather lose a leg. Footcare has become a passion for Art. He teaches daily care and provides medical footcare while seeing the difference that daily maintenance does in a person’s life.

In his time away from work, he likes to spend time with his family that includes two Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs as well as spending as much time as he can along the Oregon Coast.
